Soft Spot For Terror: Obama

For months, the Obama clown “administration” was fully aware of and engaged in discussions regarding the release of international terrorist Abdel Baset Ali al-Megrahi, who murdered 270, including 169 Americans, by planting a bomb on a jet which bomb went off over Lockerbie Scotland only 21 years ago (how soon they forget). The Obama administration, H. Clinton, and Eric Holder in particular were kept informed at every stage of the discussions. If Holder ever protested that al Megrahi would be welcomed back to Libya as a hero, his advice went unheeded. The Obama administration was fully versed every step of the way since at least June of this year, and failed to block the release of the terrorist hero.

ONLY AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE LIBYAN HERO, did Clinton and Obama change their tunes, and suddenly complain. In an abysmal faux pas of “statesmenship,” during months of discussions of which they were aware, they failed to either block the release, or to leak it, which would have resulted in the plan being blocked. The astounding and absolute duplicity of the Obama administration will render it at least impotent (more likely, non-grata) in world relations, and probably make it a laughingstock; and in fact gives America a throbbing pair or three of international black eyes. To refer to American statesmanship under Obama as “disingenuous” amounts to supercilious politeness. With Obama, “disingenuous” is the best you can get.

No.10 turns on Obama and Clinton for criticising decision to release Lockerbie bomber Mail Online

Downing Street has hit back at Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for attacking the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.

President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’.

British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.

The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.

‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide.

‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue.

‘They knew about our prisoner transfer agreement with Libya and they knew that the Scots were considering Megrahi’s case.’
