Obama Designs a More Deadly Quagmire In Afghanistan

When it comes to quagmires, Dubya Bush was a rank amateur.

Bush’s Iraq was literally a cakewalk, compared to Obama’s impossible war, Afghanistan.

Obama’s Quagmire in Afghanistan is only the most recent in a long history of such ill-advised, massively fatal adventures, in which foreign occupiers have been absolutely and uniformly crushed, for the last 2000 years.

What cheese is it, that attracts the greedy mice into Afghanistan? But it is not Obama going to fight, and die, in Afghanistan – it is OUR precious Sons and Daughters, America, whom foolish Obama sends to Afghanistan, in his place.. The ultimate price will be paid by our Sons and Daughters, but for what advantage? Does Obama plan to fund his affordable mortgages for ACORN from drug trade; now that he has taken over the banks himself (so they are broke)?

Obama is already moving mountains in the military to render our Sons and Daughters helpless targets in Afghanistan, with ridiculously restrictive and even suicidal rules of engagement, and even more ridiculous “military” tasking to train Afghanistan druggies to fight for Obama, too. At any cost, American forces must somehow avoid Obama’s geat personal pox and phobia, American victory. Perhaps Obama does not expect them to remain alive, any of them. When they return to America ALIVE, they only create a security nightmare for Janet Napolitano and DHS, the Department of Homeland “Security.” The Obama Administration itself has made our Sons and Daughters, returning from foreign military assignments, a national security risk!

Perhaps Obama has already determined our American military EXPENDABLE; he doesn’t really need our sons and daughters, since he plans an equally powerful, equally armed, and equally funded, and distinct, security force of his own. Perhaps Obama’s military will be managed by failed lawyers (bureaucrats); as Obama plans to run American industry.

More Restrictive Rules of Engagement in Afghanistan

Sounds to me like this another way of saying “we don’t want to win”:

GIs Told Not to Risk Civilian Lives
KABUL — Beginning today, American Soldiers in Afghanistan will be under orders to back down when they’re chasing Taliban fighters whenever they think that civilians might be at risk.

Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top commander in Afghanistan, will issue the directive as part of an effort to cut down on civilian casualties, which have enraged the Afghan government and residents. Instead of calling in air support or firing into civilian homes where Taliban fighters have sought refuge, commanders will be instructed to reach out to tribal elders or undertake other efforts to dislodge the fighters.

The order is consistent with what national security adviser James L. Jones told McClatchy Newspapers in Washington Wednesday was President Barack Obama’s concern about civilian casualties in Afghanistan.

“General McChrystal has been given instructions when he left here that, in all military operations, that we redouble our efforts to make sure that innocent loss of life is minimized, with zero being the goal,” Jones said, noting that, “In one mishap you can create thousands more terrorists than you had before the mishap.”

Obama’s wisdom is that America CREATES terrorists, we must be our own worst enemy. Or maybe we elected Obama, so we are our own worst enemy.

Here is a less recent story of great relevance to the topic, unfortunately via the New York Times, OBAMA’S WAR: Fearing another Quagmire in Afghanistan

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains
And the women come out to cut up what remains
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An’ go to your Gawd like a soldier.

—Rudyard Kipling, “The Young British Soldier,” 1892
