Loose Cannon Obama Targets US Auto Manufacturers

What horrific mismanagement of the auto manufacturing industry! Government direction of US auto manufacturers only can save us now. This is similar to the banking industry. Management in the failed home construction industry has been abysmally incompetent. Parts manufacturers supplying the auto industry have also been pathetically incompetent (failed to plan for the collapse in mortgage banking).  Broad-shouldered government must fix all these capitalist failures.

Lucky for us, in stark contrast to greedy capitalists, Obama is a superb business manager; possibly even on a plane with Venezuela’s brilliant Hugo Chavez.

And, Obama has no greed.

Government, the Obama government, is now forced to take auto makers by the hand and show them how to build cars. The CEOs and executives are inept, incompetent, greedy capitalists. Noble government bureaucrats and distinguished politicians must intervene to correct the perpetual failure of the previous, archaic, economic philosophy of United States capitalists and its auto manufacturers. In the typical failed capitalist system, government is often so burdened. Noble government leaders have even had to show by their selfless example that auto executives should not use jets when ground transportation is available.

American auto manufacturers have not improved their products, at least insofar as fuel consumption, since the Model-T, quoth Obama The Great (the great, loose cannon). The reason? Auto manufacturers are managed by greedy fools. Honest, diligent, economic and business-saavy individuals seek election or appointment to government jobs; but incompetent, greedy fools become CEOs of the failed system.

Think about this, think about that

Obama, touring a California electric car plant on Thursday, said, “The 1908 Model T _ think about this _ the 1908 Model T earned better gas mileage than the typical SUV in 2008.”

“Think about that: 100 years later, and we’re getting worse gas mileage, not better, on SUVs,” Obama said.

Obama also said “think about (the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure.) Their ports, their train system, their airports are all vastly superior to ours now.”

OK, I thought about it, Loose Cannon.

There is not a shred of evidence that all, or even any, more than a few facilities, of Red China’s infrastructure is better than ours, let alone vastly superior.

This is a true loose cannon speaking. Obama is unequaled throughout history in his gift for impossible socialist hyperbolae (lies).

Tom Miles, of Albuquerque, N.M., the vice president of the Model T Ford Club of America, says he typically gets 12 mpg on his 1926 Model T Touring car and the fuel efficiency suffers when he drives uphill.

Jay Klehfoth, chief executive officer of the Centerville, Ind.-based Model T Ford Club of America, said he averages about 25 mpg on his four Model Ts. But with an array of modern regulations, he noted, “You couldn’t build a Model T today because the government wouldn’t let you put it on the road.”

Ford offers numerous models, more or less popular that get far better performance than this. Are we interested in comparing the gas mileage of the ones which don’t sell; or the ones which sell well? And who other than a hobbyist, would buy a Model-T today? Loose Cannon Obama would have us compare the Model-T as an equivalent in function or class with today’s SUV.

For example we present the relative advantages, vis a vis the Model T, of the Ford Escape: The 2009 Ford Escape achieves 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway while providing 200 horsepower, a tenfold improvement over the Model T. But consider this
